Units

Accessible from the sidebar under Settings → Units

Units represent the basic quantities or measures in which a product is sold or purchased. This refers to the smallest individual unit customers can buy. Units can cover a wide range of product dimensions, such as kilograms, grams, liters, packages, etc.

The Units administration screen serves as a repository for all units used in the online store. The units created here can be applied to products as needed.

Units

  1. Name – The name of the unit of measurement.
  2. Short name – A short name or symbol for the unit of measurement, often referred to as an "abbreviation" or "symbol."
  3. Active – Determines whether the unit of measurement can be selected for a product. Inactive units cannot be chosen when creating new products or editing existing ones.
  4. To search for a specific unit of measurement, simply type its name into the search bar and click the "magnifying glass" icon.
  5. Clicking the "edit" button allows administrators to modify existing units of measurement.
  6. If a unit is no longer needed, it can be deleted by clicking the "trash" icon.
  7. New units can be added at any time by clicking the "Add New" button.

Adding or editing units

Adding new units to the system is a straightforward process that can be completed in a few simple steps. Whether it's a unique unit for a specific product or a standard weight measurement, administrators can easily expand the system's unit options to accommodate a wide range of products.
