Languages

The Languages administration page serves as a hub for managing supported languages in the webshop and the administrative user interface.

Languages

  1. Name – The actual name of the language.
  2. Active on frontend – Indicates whether a language is available for customers and can be selected as the primary language of the store. This setting determines the language options visible to customers.
  3. Active on admin – Specifies whether a language can be used in the administration user interface. It determines if the admin panel and tools are accessible in that language.
  4. To search for a specific language, simply enter its name in the search bar and click the "magnifying glass" icon.
  5. By clicking the "edit" button, business owners can modify an existing language and its settings.
  6. New languages can be added at any time by clicking the "Add new" button.

Adding or editing languages

Adding languages to Sellvio is a breeze – just fill in the required fields, and you’re all set!

Languages

  • Name – The name of the language, used for identification both in the admin panel and in the store header.
  • URL Path – A specific identifier within a web address that indicates the language, region, or cultural settings of a particular webpage. For example, https://domain-name/hu/ or https://domain-name/sr/.
  • Locale Name – The folder name of the language files.
  • Active on frontend – Determines if the language can be used in the store and if it appears in the language selector dropdown menu.
  • Default on frontend – When enabled, this language will be used as the default for the store.
  • Active on admin – Determines if the language is available for use on the administration pages and if it appears in the admin language selector dropdown menu.
  • Default on admin – When enabled, this language will be used as the default for the admin pages.

Important Notes:

  1. Only one language can be set as the default language for the webshop.
  2. Only one language can be set as the default language for the administrative interface.
