Catalogs
To access the Catalog module, navigate to Catalogs management → Catalogs in the left-hand administration sidebar menu.
- Languages – As mentioned earlier, catalogs can be added for each active language in the store. The languages listed in the Languages panel function as pseudo-categories. It is important to note that, for example, English catalogs will not be visible in the store if the customer changes the store language to Hungarian. This separation ensures that catalogs in different languages do not appear together on the store's Catalogs page.
- Name – The name of the catalog as it appears on the store's Catalogs page.
- Number of Downloads – Shows how many times customers have downloaded the catalog.
- To search for a specific catalog, simply enter its name in the search bar and click the "magnifying glass" icon.
- By clicking the "edit" button, store owners can modify existing catalogs.
- If a catalog is no longer needed, the administrator can delete it by clicking the "trash" icon.
- New catalogs can be added at any time by clicking the "Add new" button.
NOTICE: The most efficient way to add a new catalog is to first select the desired language from the left-hand panel and then click the "Add New" button.
Adding or editing catalogs
The process of adding new catalogs is efficient and requires little time, as store owners only need to fill in a few form fields.
- Name – The name of the catalog as it appears on the store's Catalogs page.
- Language – Catalogs can be added for each active language in the store:
- If a language is selected from the list before clicking the "Add New" button, the language will be preselected in the dropdown menu.
- If no language is selected from the list page before clicking the "Add New" button, the dropdown menu will display "All", meaning the catalog will be available in all languages.
- The dropdown menu value can always be set to "All", making the catalog available in every language.
- Picture – The catalog image displayed on the Catalogs page.
- Document – The catalog document that will be downloaded when the customer clicks on the catalog name or image on the Catalogs page.
After filling out all fields, simply click the "Submit" or "Submit and Stay" button to save the catalog.
You’ve added a catalog to your webstore, but how does it look to customers?
To access the dedicated Catalogs page offered by the webstore's Catalogs module, first scroll to the webstore footer, then simply click on the "Catalogs" link.
By following these steps, the customer will be directed to the dedicated Catalogs page, which lists all catalogs created in the administrative interface.
As previously explained, clicking on the catalog image or title initiates the download of the document associated with the catalog, as configured in the administrative interface.
