Webshop currency and tax configuration

Before you can start selling through your new online store, it is essential to define your currency and tax. These settings are crucial as they directly affect which payment and shipping methods can be activated, ensuring a smooth and compliant e-commerce experience.

To configure your online store's currency and tax settings, click "Settings" in the sidebar, then "General Settings." Then click the "Settings" tab at the top of the page.

  • Default Tax: This is the default tax rate, determined by the laws of the country where your business is located.
  • Currency: This setting determines the currency in which all prices are displayed in your store. This is a critical setting because it affects which payment and shipping methods can be activated later.
  • Decimals: Specify the number of decimal places to display in your online store prices.
  • Decimal Separator: Select the character to use to separate decimal places in your prices.
  • Thousands Separator: Select the character to use to separate thousands.
