Field for uploading multiple images (or Gallery field)

Store owners can upload multiple images for certain content types, such as Articles, Pages, Events, Galleries, and Products, under the Files tab.

In this chapter, we will take a closer look at how to use the multi-image upload field and the features it offers.

The multi-image upload field accepts three image file types: .png, .jpg, and .jpeg.

Administrators can add images to the field by dragging and dropping them into the field's "drop area," or by clicking the field and manually selecting images from the operating system's file browser.

Once the files are uploaded, the green progress bar below the field will display Done, and the following features and controls will become available:

1. Progress bar - The progress bar shows the progress of the image upload process. Once all images have been uploaded, it will turn green and the progress status number will change to "Done".
2. Reorder images - Administrators can manually specify the order of images by clicking and dragging the "arrows" icon.
3. Main image marker - Administrators can specify which photo should be the main image for an article, event, product, etc. by clicking the "empty circle". The main image is also used as the cover image on list pages.
4. Download - Images in the multi-image upload field can be downloaded individually by clicking the download icon below each image.
5. Copy to clipboard - Clicking the copy icon below the image will automatically copy the image to the operating system clipboard.
6. Delete - Images that are no longer needed can be deleted from the multi-image upload field by clicking the trash icon.
7. Delete All Images - All images can be removed by clicking the "X" icon in the upper right corner.
8. Preview Details - Clicking the magnifying glass icon below the image will open a new window where administrators can enter more details about the image.

All images can be cropped using Sellvio's built-in image cropping tool. Simply click the crop icon on the uploaded image to access the manual cropping feature. For more information on cropping uploaded images, see Appendix A.

Detailed preview and subtitles

As mentioned in step 8 in the previous chapter, clicking the magnifying glass below the image opens the Detailed Preview window.

The controls in the Detailed Preview window allow for a more comprehensive examination of uploaded images. The caption input fields allow you to add captions to images in all supported languages ​​of the online store.

1. Hide Window Header - Use this button to toggle the window header on or off, giving more space on the screen for the displayed image.
2. Full Screen Mode Toggle - Switching the window to full screen mode allows the image to be centered on the screen.
3. Enable Borderless Mode - Turning the window borders on or off allows the window to occupy the entire horizontal space of the screen.
4. Navigation Arrow - The left and right navigation arrows allow administrators to navigate between images in a multi-image upload box.
5. Caption Fields - Caption fields allow you to caption images in all supported webshop languages. The text you enter is automatically saved.
