What's New

v5.7.020 November 2024

In version 5.7.0, we are introducing two exciting updates.

Embedding media files in Newsletters

Anyone who has ever tried to create a newsletter knows how tedious it can be to ensure compatibility across various email clients.

This is especially true when embedding media files, such as images, in the newsletter. Most newsletter editors only accept a URL pointing to the image. Previously, this meant users had to upload the image to the web, find the exact URL of the uploaded image, and then insert it into the newsletter editor.

We all know where this leads: unnecessary extra steps and work. Not anymore!

Sellvio version 5.7.0 enables online store owners to use the Sellvio text editor and its built-in media manager to embed images into their newsletter content, just as they would for articles, pages, events, and other types of content.

Faster newsletter editing in the familiar way!

Checking and updating Google Analytics consent settings

Starting in early March, Google has mandated that within its digital advertising ecosystem, measurement and personal data for users in the EU (European Economic Area - EEA) will only be recorded if appropriate consent signals are provided.

This means websites must collect consent from end users in the EEA for the use of personal data related to measurement, ad personalization, and remarketing features. These consent signals must also be shared with Google.

Across Europe, thousands of online store owners are working to implement consent signals via cookie management tools on their websites as quickly as possible.

However, if you own a Sellvio online store, you can relax and continue your e-commerce activities uninterrupted. At Sellvio, we closely monitor changes in the online world and ensure that your store is always up to date.

In our latest version, we have updated the functionality of the cookie manager to comply with the new requirements introduced in the EEA.
