The purpose of the Delivery Routes feature is to assist in organizing and tracking deliveries, especially when a business or retail network manages multiple transportation routes. So-called delivery groups can be defined, which practically correspond to different vehicles or delivery units. Additionally, for each delivery group, the following can be defined:
Starting point – for example, the warehouse or departure address Destination – the end of the delivery route
Routes assigned to delivery groups are displayed on an interactive map in the administrative interface, enabling easier tracking and visualization. The routes, generated using the Google Maps API, can be printed in PDF format after being displayed on the map, making them accessible to drivers or logistics staff in paper format as well.
The ability to plan and visualize routes significantly contributes to the more efficient operation of internal logistics processes.
